Natural Range:  Native to the Southeastern USA, Found also in Cuba, Jamaica, and other Caribbean islands

 

Natural Diet: crickets, cockroaches, spiders, grubs

 

Captive Diet: crickets and mealworms   *Be sure to gut load the prey every other day.*

 

Average Size: 9 inches

 

Lighting:  UV Lighting is needed for this reptile

 

Heat:  White basking light can be used for daylight basking, but you'll need another type of non white light to have for basking at night.  Ceramic Heat Emitters, Blue, and/or Red basking lights are acceptable as 24/7 heat source. UTH Heating pad can be used as well.

 

Enclosure Size (aquarium): 10 gallon for two adults / 20 gallon tall for 3 or 4 adults (1:3 Male-Female ratio)

 

Temperature:  Basking Temps: 85-90*F  / Ambient Temps: 75-80*F

 

Humidity: 60-70%
